The first main revision of “You Are My Brothers” is finished! Tomorrow I will attempt to revise it a second time. I’m still not entirely happy with what’s going on in the story, though. No story I write ever really matches the initial vision I have for it, but this one seems to be going in a completely different direction in some respects.
If I do not finish it in time for the deadline tomorrow I will consider holding it for the Writers of the Future next month. It will need to be reworked heavily, but I have some ideas on how to do that.
On a different note, the other day I received back the initial round of edits on “Mechanicis Solis” from Venessa Giunta. I haven’t yet had a chance to go over them, but once this is finished I intend to devote my full attention to the hard work Venessa has put into getting that story whipped into shape. She says the first round of edits is the most involved and – in some respects – the most painful, but I am looking forward to it. Any chance I can take to improve my craft, I’ll do it!
